Remembering Ted Grofer

During the May 26th Landscape Committee walkthrough of the property it was determined that we need our entire lawn aerated – ie., the soil needs to be opened up for better air circulation, water penetration and fertilization. Sunshine Landscaping has agreed to do the aeration procedure at no additional cost (this time only) to the Association.

The process will begin June 1st and will take approximately 30 days to complete. We are all tired of looking at the worn/brown spots throughout our property. Therefore, we’re trying a different approach to an old problem.

Desert Water Agency Rebate

Our $42,464 rebate from the Desert Water Agency for our Sunrise Way desert-scape was received today. Added to our $7,500 rebate from the City of Palm Springs, this brings our total Sunrise Way rebate to $49,964.
*****
So far, no agency or city rebates are available for inside our complex walls. Should rebates become available, we will apply immediately.
*****
On Sept 2, Sunrise Villas was one of the first HOA’s to file for a future DWA rebate. This is for our Sonora, Cerritos, and Mesquite sidewalk areas. These areas need our immediate attention.
*****
The Board of Directors will discuss, plan, budget, and vote on this project at our future meetings, but only if your Board feels it’s a financially sensible option.
*****
It will take Desert Water some time to evaluate our application and measure our property for rebate purposes.
DWA will then advise us of the exact dollar value of our rebate. We will post the information on our website when received.
